SALES of condoms jumped fivefold in South Korea as fans celebrated after the nation’s soccer team rose to the occasion in its opening World Cup game against Greece.
A million red-shirted fans nationwide – including 200,000 in Seoul – packed boulevards, stadiums and parks Saturday to cheer the side’s 2-0 win over Euro 2004 champion Greece.
After the game, fans in celebratory mood also bought five times more condoms than during the team’s lackluster 2006 World Cup performance, according to the JoongAng Daily.

Two Faced Kitten
Theres something in the water in Charleston, West Virginia, or at least in the cat food, Pet owners got a serious surprise when their cat gave birth to a litter of kittens last Wednesday, one of which had two faces.
Two Face’s owner took the deformed kitten to North Gateway Animal Hospital shortly after it was born. “Animals with defects, whether it be a heart defect or something extreme – it is common for the mother to reject the weak ones,” Dr. Erica Drake, the associate veterinarian who saw Two Face exclaimed.
The rare birth defect, known as diprosopus, is uncommon in animals, particularly cats, and most don’t survive. The kitten who has been given a 50/50 chance of survival.Born with a condition called diprosopus, which means the kitten literally has two faces. Two Face has four eyes, two noses and two mouths.Drake said the kitten’s two mouths act independently of one another and she believes each mouth has a separate esophagus leading to one stomach.

Dumped Teen Cuts Off Penis
Devastated by the news that his girlfriend was going to marry another man, a teenager from a village in Central Java, cut off his own penis in a fit of despair… Doctors said the jilted lover came close to death because he lost so much blood.
Hospital director Sugeng Budi Susanto told The Jakarta Globe “Cutting off a penis can be fatal.”
Any hopes of reattaching the severed member were dashed after the 19-year-old threw the appendage into a well and it could not be found by residents of Bantasari village.
A source said the 19-year-old had severed his penis in a suicide bid. We’ve decided the girlfriend made the right choice.

How Old? 157 Old!
Estimates of the size of Indonesia’s booming population have revelled the “discovery” of a 157-year-old Woman.
“There’s no authentic data to prove her age but judging from her statements and the age of her adopted daughter, who’s now 108 years old, it’s difficult to doubt it,” statistics bureau official Jhonny Sardjono said Monday.
The only person confirmed to have lived past 120 years of age was Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 at the age of 122.
South Sumatran villager Turinah would be fully 25 years older than Calment when she died, according to officials. Even more incredible, she still works around the house and has smoked clove cigarettes all her life, Mr Sardjono said.
“Despite her age she still has an incredible memory, clear sight and has no hearing problems. She speaks Dutch quite fluently,” he said.
